BusGuide updates will be out soon

I received the developer key from SBS last week, and have started making the code changes to BusGuide, to make use of the APIs from SBS. There will be some minor changes to the app, in that it will now need to get your unique device ID. This is required to allow a more accurate tracking of how many unique users there are, using my BusGuide app, which is part of the agreement with SBS.

First up to be updated will be BusGuide for WP7, followed by BusGuide2, and if I still have time, the original BusGuide.

Unfortunately, departure timing at bus interchange will not be working yet, as the provided APIs does not cater to that. I have contacted SBS on this, so hopefully, they will have something worked out.

I used to use this app a lot and would really appreciate if you can kindly come up with the update soon. Not sure how many people find the Bus Guide 2 as helpful or useful as the original Bus Guide. I personally find this original bus guide to be very useful and am so upset with SBS that they have disallowed 3rd parties to retrieve the bus schedules which are used by the public.

Anyway, I am very much looking forward to your update! Excellent job in the 4.9 update while it was working.

Just 1 quirk in the 4.9. I started seeing the following as many as the number of bus services at the bus station followed by the actual bus numbers and was hoping if these could somehow be removed:
    &nbsp
    &nbsp
    &nbsp

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no use.

    Hi,

This is a known issue, which I fixed in BusGuide2. I will try find some time to update the original BusGuide, but due to my busy schedule, I’m not able to give a timeline for it.
